‘Onkel Rejes Kolo9have’ is a playful educational game for children aged 4–7, designed to strengthen early math skills by encouraging players to count and draw numbers through a series of fun activities and mini-games. Set in Onkel Reje's quirky allotment garden, the story follows Reje as he looks back on the ‘best worst summer’ of his life. With all of his friends away on vacation, he spends the holidays cycling around the neighborhood on his Long John, helping familiar and new characters with peculiar tasks while saving up for prizes from the local gas station vending machine.

Developed by Dwarf, the game translates the unmistakable humor and charm of the Onkel Reje universe into an interactive learning experience. Benny Box was responsible for the visual universe, designing characters, props, and animations that capture the playful, handmade quality and slightly odd personality that define Reje's world.

A world of oddities

The project centered on adapting Onkel Reje into a younger version of himself while preserving the simple shapes and recognizable style that define the Ramasjang universe. Onkel Reje’s iconic beard was reimagined as a cardboard cutout, playfully suggesting the beard he hadn't grown yet. We designed new characters to complement the existing cast, rigged and animated them in Spine, and created a large library of props and items that gave the game its quirky personality from radioactive uranium to the coveted golden poop toy.
