Since 1904, Ekstra Bladet has stood for one thing: daring to say what others won't. Over 120 years, that boldness has become one of the most recognisable identities in Danish media.
Working with their team, we developed animated branding elements that honour that legacy while bringing it forward, designed to carry the Ekstra Bladet energy across ads, social media and every moment in between. A visual identity that moves as fast as the news does, built to catch attention and keep it.
Working with the visual language extended past motion design and into the visual representation of their journalism and podcast publications.
Sports, crime, history and hot gossip; no matter the topic, every publication had to feel unmistakably Ekstra Bladet while still keeping their own distinct identity and attitude. Working within the visual identity, we designed and animated each cover to give every podcast its own presence, while keeping the connective thread of the brand running through all of them.
