Welcome to Heksebeth’s Hekseria: A magical witchy pizzaria, where you create spellbound pizzas and potions with magical ingredients - and learn to spell and read along the way!

We collaborated with DWARF and DR Ramasjang (a kid’s universe part of the Danish national public broadcasting) to create the visual universe for a new playful learning game where words become magic, and mistakes are part of the journey.

The project is part of DR’s initiative to strengthen early reading development, with a focus on making language feel accessible, intuitive, and engaging for children aged 5–7. Set within a familiar Ramasjang universe, the game invites players to experiment with letters and meaning through playful interactions and small magical mishaps.

Spelling with magical spells

Players help the witch Heksebeth run her magical pizzeria by transforming words from a spellbook into the right ingredients for each magical pizza order. Learning is encouraged through play, where words are combined and explored through simple interactions, and even small changes can lead to unexpected results. Very quickly a Tryllestav (magic wand) can become a Trylleræv (magic fox) or a Tryllebrev (magic envelope) - and that’s okay. Mistakes become part of the experience, creating playful disruptions that encourage curiosity rather than correction.
