Motor Mille og Børnebanden is one of Ramasjang's most beloved universes. A world built on courage, community and creativity, where kids are the heroes and grumpy adults are the obstacle. Translating that world into a mobile game meant every visual decision carried weight. The characters, the environments, the animations, all of it had to feel like the show, while working hard enough to carry a game.
In close collaboration with Dwarf, who designed the gameplay and developed the game, Benny Box was responsible for the full graphic and animation production, bringing the universe to life across 2D levels, characters and cinematic sequences.
The result just took home Gold at Creative Circle Awards 2026.
The visual style of Motor Mille og Børnebanden was built to feel rich, energetic and immediately inviting. Bright, bold colours run through every environment and character, and the design of the cast sets the tone throughout. The kids are friendly and expressive, while the grumpy adults are kept deliberately comical. Clumsy proportions, exaggerated expressions and silly details turn potential antagonists into comic figures, making sure the tension stays playful and the world feels safe for the age group.
Every asset also had to sit comfortably within the broader Ramasjang visual universe, a world Benny Box knows well from previous collaborations. That continuity mattered. The game needed to feel like a natural extension of what children already recognise and love from the channel, while standing on its own as a complete and coherent visual world worth spending time in.

Working on a game aimed at children aged 4 to 8 meant user testing wasn't a formality. It actively shaped the work. Character designs and animations were refined multiple times based on feedback from the target age group, adjusting visual tone, readability and pacing until everything landed at the right level.
The game also carried a conscious commitment to diversity and representation, supported by DR's Diversity Fund. For Benny Box, that meant designing a cast of characters and a world where every child could find something of themselves, without it ever feeling like a checklist. Just a world with room for everyone, which is exactly what the show has always been about.
